Is Your Website Chasing Away iPhone Users?

According to Pew Research, 58% of Americans use smartphones, and 49% of all cell phone users access the Internet “to get directions, recommendations, or other location-based information.”

Indeed, we all know that people search for products and services from their phones.

That means you need to make sure that your website is appealing to mobile users, or you can lose business.

When people go online with smartphones, they are often searching for more specific information than desktop users: who, when, where, how to get there? And they are searching on a device with a small screen that has slower computing capabilities and often slower internet than a desktop or notebook computer.

So if your website is too complicated for mobile users, failing to provide them the information they want the way the want it, and if you your website takes too long to load, you can loose visitors very quickly.

Remember: Internet users decide in just a second or two whether or not your site is worth staying on. If your website looks bad on smartphones, a lot of people simply won’t bother to take a serious look at it.

Have you ever tried to look at a busy, complicated website on a tiny smartphone screen? It can be exasperating. If a site is too complicated or stuffed with too much content, it can drive mobile users away.

Likewise, it is very important to have an easy navigation structure; people viewing your website on a smartphone should be able to quickly and conveniently access the different pages of your site.
