In this post I am going to teach you a simple trick to make all of your videos rank higher in search results.
Some real estate professionals have caught on to the power of video marketing for promoting their listings. A free Youtube listing is vastly more engaging than a tiny yet costly listing in the classifieds.
One way to boost the rankings of your videos in Youtube search and even in Google search is to turn all of your videos into a “video silo.”
That just means making each video link to the next one. Let’s say you have videos A, B, C, and D. In the description field for video A, include a link to B. In the description field for video B, link to video C. In C link to D, and in D link all the way back to A.
That’s it: you have a video silo.
For a more advanced technique, you can make an annotation in each of your videos that says something like “Check out video C!” and a link to video C.
Now, I’m not promising that this will suddenly push all your videos to page 1 of Google search. That takes a lot of skill, finesse and know-how. But in 3 minutes you can help out all your videos.
Obviously, this advice is not limited solely to real estate professionals.
P.S. – Have you used this technique before? Did you see results?
